Since May 2026, only you can change your own test date — your instructor can't do it for you any more, and bot services are banned.
That leaves two legal options: refresh the DVSA booking site constantly, or swap dates with another local learner. We'd suggest you do both.
Keep checking the DVSA site when you can. But also join your local swap group, where you're matched with a real learner who wants your date and has the date you want.
Free to look. No payment at this step.
£15 per centre, one-off — less than half a driving lesson. Two-minute setup. You can add up to 3 DVSA-linked nearby centres for more chances to match, at £15 each. Most students join two.
Another learner near you who wants your date, and has the date you want. We watch your centres around the clock so you don't have to.
We send you step-by-step instructions. One of you calls the DVSA swap line, you both confirm, and the DVSA switches the bookings. We never touch your booking.
Since 12 May 2026 the DVSA only allows the candidate to book or change their own test. Instructors can't do it on your behalf any more, whatever their relationship with you. Recommending a swap group is the closest thing left to what they used to do for you.
Yes. The DVSA banned bots and resellers — not learners swapping with each other. We find your match; the swap itself is completed by the DVSA on their own line, with both of you confirming.
It depends on your local swap group. A match needs another learner nearby who wants your date, so busy centres move fast and quieter ones take longer. The more local learners in the group, the quicker everyone matches — which is why telling the others in your lesson group genuinely helps you.
You lose nothing. Your DVSA booking stays exactly where it is — we never touch it — so your worst case is the date you already had. You stay in the pool until a match appears or your test date passes.
Same process. Rebooking from scratch puts you at the back of the queue and burns one of your two DVSA changes. Swapping to a later date with someone who wants yours means neither of you loses your place.
Yes — all 316 UK test centres. Your matches come from your own centre plus the 3 nearby centres the DVSA links to it, so everything stays local and driveable.
£15 per centre, one-off — less than half a driving lesson. Each extra centre you add is another £15, and you'll see the total before you pay anything. Most students join two. it keeps the group to genuine swappers and covers watching your centres around the clock. No subscription — you pay once per centre and nothing after that.
